Lotto Max Jackpot Once Again Reaches $50 Million For January 10 Draw

The last several months have provided excellent opportunities for lottery players to bet on life-changing winnings, and the good times will keep on rolling.  Representatives of Lotto Max, one of Canada’s largest lottery operators, say the draw for Friday January 10 is expected to contain a $50 million jackpot.

The announcement is noteworthy as December proved a very rewarding month for lottery players.  The month began with the OLG announcing they successfully located a Hamilton woman who won a $50 million Lotto Max jackpot over a year ago.

Another Hamilton player later won $7 million playing Lotto 649, Canada’s other national lottery, while a Calgary man donated his entire $40 million Lotto Max jackpot from earlier in the year to charity.  Finally a player in Edmonton won the $50 million Lotto Max jackpot draw on December 20, while $1 million MaxMillions prizes were awarded to players across the country.

As a result of the very active December, the lottery is very popular now, evidenced by the fact that the jackpot will once again be $50 million only three weeks after the last jackpot.  Lotto Max also expects at least 2 MaxMillions $1 million prizes, though that number could rise if enough players buy into the lottery before the draw.

The draw will be held at 9pm EST on January 10, and players can purchase their tickets up until the final moment before the draw.  Billions of dollars worth of prizes have been awarded since Lotto Max launched in 2009, and another $50 million is on the line in less than a week.
