Loto Quebec announced its provincially regulated online casino, EspaceJeux, will access all online and mobile casino games provided by International Gaming Technology. The announcement is part of an online gambling expansion strategy across Canada to provide players with more convenient gambling options.
IGT is one of the global leaders of the gaming industry, which uses new and innovative technology to revolutionize classic casino games. The developer already has a server in Canada in Kamloops, BC, which Loto Quebec will use to access IGT’s expansive collection of casino games.
EspaceJeux services the Quebec gambling market with a government regulated online casino, but struggles to compete with offshore gambling sites. Players appreciate the variety of games provided by sites outside Quebec jurisdiction, and maintain accounts with these sites to access the wider collection of games. The new arrangement with IGT means EspaceJeux will provide more games than ever before, which Loto Quebec believes will encourage players to shift to the government run casino.
Robert Melendres, IGT Executive Vice President, says all games will be offered in both English and French to satisfy the demands of Quebec players. He also noted that IGT will continue to partner with other lottery and gambling companies as more Canadian online casinos are launched under government regulation.
“Players in Quebec will have access to IGT’s hottest content available, including popular games like Cats, Coyote Moon, Da Vinci Diamonds, Kitty Glitter and more.”
In addition to EspaceJeux, Canada also hosts other government backed casinos like Playnow.com and PlaySphere.ca. The OLG also announced an internet gambling site for Ontario is expected to launch later this year.
