After Bwin.Party’s three-year sponsorship contract ended last month, English Premier League (EPL) top-flight player Manchester United Football Club (Man United F.C.) has named Marathonbet as new sponsor. The financial terms underlying the new sponsorship agreement were not disclosed, but it is estimated to be worth more than £2.4 million, basing on the value of the football club’s previous sponsorship deal with Bwin.Party.

The sponsorship agreement gives Marathonbet access to the club legends and first team players of Man United for the betting company’s marketing purposes. In addition, the Marathonbet brand will be widely displayed throughout the Old Trafford Stadium and across the football giant’s digital platforms. Old Trafford, located in Greater Manchester, England is the home of Manchester United F.C.

He added that through the partnership with Marathonbet, which carries out operations in more than 20 languages, they hope to provide their fans with exclusive gaming and betting content, competitive betting odds and access to personalized legends and player interviews. He also remarked that they perceive Marathonbet as a partner with an understanding of the importance of operating on a global scale.

Actually, this is the second football sponsorship contract deal struck by Marathonbet as it follows closely the 3-year sponsorship agreement entered with Man United’s EPL rival, Liverpool FC. Similar to the Man United deal, Marathonbet will also gain access to Liverpool’s legends and first team players for the sports betting firm’s marketing campaigns, as well as benefit from brand exposure across Liverpool F.C.’s digital platforms in Anfield Stadium.
The Curacao-based sports betting operator has been designated as one of the football club’s regional betting partners, along with Scandinavian online casino operator Comeon and Isle of Man-licensed sportsbook operator, 188Bet.
