Play'N Go Just Launched Cloud Quest Slot Machine

Cloud Quest is a slot machine from Play N Go, and it’s part of their offensive in the slot industry, where they’ve offered a large number of titles in the last year or so. Due to be released on March 10^th, Cloud Quest seems to be a fantasy inspired game, one where you advance your hero and gain experience, while fighting monsters that threaten a city located in the clouds.

It sounds like a great premise for a slot machine with a fantasy theme, and once you see the design I think you will agree that they did a good job. The slot gets 5 reels with 5 symbols on each one. It uses 10 paylines for betting purposes, but the way it forms combinations is not a typical one.

What We Love

One thing you will notice and enjoy immediately is going to be the design. You will find the city in the clouds if you look at the background image, while the reels seem to be occupied by images of warriors, of weapons, potions, spell books and others that belong in such a slot machine. On the left side, a hero will stand, which might be a tiny wizard on level 1, or a fierce Amazon warrior on level 2. It’s got a tall set of reels, thanks to the use of five symbols on each column.

You get your wins by landing three or more symbols that appear either in diagonal, horizontal mode or vertically. There are no real paylines here, not even ways to win. The game does use 10 lines for its wagers, but that’s it.

Even its features tend to be unusual. One example is the Super Power icon, which you need three of to get access to the Super Power Wheel. You get only one section of the wheel active with three symbols though. With four symbols you get two sections, while five Super Power symbols will activate all three sections. You get a free re-spin and a super power if you get the pointer of the wheel to land on an active section.

The super powers available during the re-spin can mean for you a 5x multiplier for the wins, three wild symbols, wilds generated from combinations which bring you wins, or extra scatter symbols.

Each spin has a Bonus area, which you will notice that it is placed on top of one of the horizontal rows each round. Get all five icons located on that row to clear, and you will trigger between 5 and 20 games for free.

The free spins mode is not on the main set of reels. It uses its own set, with three reels and one payline.

What We Do Not Like

I haven’t found much to be unhappy about. Expect a medium variance game overall, with the bonus features being especially profitable if you manage to trigger them.
