Lotto Max Jackpot To Reach $50 Million In Time For May 2 Draw

With the spring season in full swing, Canadians are making plans to enjoy the summer – and figuring out how to pay for vacations.  The latest Lotto Max jackpot could be a great opportunity to start as the national lottery will post a $50 million jackpot for the May 2 draw, the first time since March that the prize has climbed to the max.

The Lotto Max jackpot reaches its pinnacle at $50 million, and any extra money acquired from ticket sales is pooled into separate MaxMillions side prizes.  The MaxMillions prizes are each valued at $1 million, and the lottery expects 2 of those prizes to be up for grabs for the May 2 draw alongside the $50 million jackpot.

The April 25 draw saw only two winners, both located in Ontario.  A player in Toronto won the secondary prize worth just over $380,000, while another player near Trenton won $100,000 playing ENCORE.  Both players will need to travel to the OLG headquarters in Toronto to claim their prizes.

The $50 million jackpot is available to players across Canada, and tickets are available for sale up until 9pm EST on May 2 – mere moments before Lotto Max draws the winning numbers.  Tickets cost only $5 to play, with an additional $1 necessary to play the ENCORE line – will you bet on winning the lottery next week?
