The report indicates that speciality sites are not as popular as you might think in the Canadian gambling market. While PokerStars is one of the most popular online gambling websites in the world, it has not gained as much fame in Canada. It seems that Canadian casino players are more likely to play at poker websites like 888, which also offer a wide range of online casino games, as well.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation estimates that Canadians spend $1 billion on online gaming, with nearly half of that total coming from Ontario. The OLG will be the next local lottery commission to launch its own online gambling website, but will have to compete with sites like Bet365, which has a high rating in Canada’s online gambling market.
