Casino Player Magazine is marketed as the top gaming publication across the United States, providing in-depth reviews and recommendations to a readership base of 600,000 subscribers every month. The magazine recently reviewed the “Best Overall Hotel and Gaming Resort” in the Detroit region, but the honourary title went to a Canadian casino resort.
Casino Player bestowed the title of best Detroit-based casino to Caesars Windsor on the Canadian side of the border. The award marks the 13th consecutive year that the Windsor casino was determined a superior gambling destination to its Detroit counterparts by Casino Player. Caesars Windsor also won 20 other “Best of” titles in the magazine, including the noteworthy “Casino Where You Feel Luckiest” label.
Kevin Laforet, President of Caesars Windsor, was ecstatic that the Canadian casino continues to receive commemorative feedback from guests and players.
“It speaks volumes when our guests vote for us as their destination of choice year-after-year.”
Casino Player holds its Best of Gaming Awards nominations every year by asking readers to offer their opinions and feedback. Each year the magazine holds a survey and invites thousands of magazine subscribers, casino guests, and travellers to cast their votes on the best casino, best hotel, and other important titles that provide gamers an enjoyable gambling experience.
Detroit’s long road to bankruptcy, which the city officially filed for in late July, may also have played a hand in the overwhelming praise for Caesars Windsor. The infrastructure in Detroit crumbled over the last few years, which left landmarks in the city visually unappealing for many tourists and residents – including the city’s many casinos.
Caesars Windsor, just across the border into Canada on the other hand, retained its structurally sound appeal and pleasant atmosphere.
