The new Apple iPhone 4G has garnered a great deal of attention from online gambling operators, as it presents a much more efficient interface for playing mobile casino games. Paddy Power and Betfair were the first operators to launch iPhone App, and now online sportsbetting giant Bwin has announced the launch of its new online gambling application for the popular mobile device.
Bwin’s new application, Bwin Live, will give players the chance to bet on a wide range of sporting events, including football, racing and basketball. It will be available in the UK and Austria immediately, and Bwin hopes to expand to other countries sometime in the near future.
"Thanks to bwin live, bwin customers now get to place bets on their iPhone using an intuitive user interface, check on the status of the bets they have place, and retrieve a detailed list of their bets," says Berthold Kao of Bwin.
The company is also said to be working on a version of the application for Android phones. It seems that Bwin is looking to take over the mobile gambling market, and it could be a very likely situation. Bwin is already one of the most popular sportsbetting websites and by offering smart phone users the chance to access its service from their mobile devices, the company will certainly convert a great deal of fans.
