Amaya Inc, the Canadian iGaming company that acquired Texas-based Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) betting website Victiv, announced that the latter is now operating under a new domain branded as StarsDraft. The move marks Amaya’s official entry into the DFS betting industry, as Victiv customers and visitors arriving at the DFS site are being re-directed to the new StarsDraft dotcom.
Victiv gives advice to existing customers that their user account and all information therein, including their respective fund and bonus balances, as well as loyalty status remain the same; albeit now carried under the new StarsDraft brand. After all, the Victim team continues to be in-charge of managing the DFS betting facility, assuring customers that the same user-friendly and groundbreaking software is still in place.
In particular, the StarsDraft site still features the Bankroll Builder. This feature has made the former Victiv brand highly popular among new DFS players, as it gives them the chance to engage in daily fantasy sports wagering in a risk-free condition. DFS newbies can participate in the daily fantasy sport competitions without the need to deposit money or pay entry fees, yet still have a chance to win real cash prizes.
A quick glimpse at the StarsDraft website shows that the online DFS betting facility continues to offer the four (4) major U.S. leagues, baseball, basketball, football, and hockey, plus the major PGA Tournaments. The Login detail requirements as well as the lobby remain the same.
Initially, Starsdraft.com is available to DFS players in select U.S. states. Amaya though plans to offer the same fantasy sports betting facility and services through the PokerStars platform, any time in the near future. The rebranding of Victiv and its re-launch as StarsDraft ahead of the kickoff of the 2015 American NFL season, had fast tracked Amaya’s entry into the fantasy sports betting action at the very onset of a major U.S. sporting event.
The CEO of Victiv, Matthew Primeaux, announced that through StarsDraft, they combine the innovative Victiv platform and seasoned DFS team with Amaya’s operational excellence and broad consumer base, being the world’s finest online gaming brand. As CEO Primeaux had stated during the announcement of the Amaya-Victiv merger, they intend to make the most of what they deem is strong crossover between players of daily fantasy sports and online poker. He added that the now Amaya-owned PokerStars is the most-trusted trademark in online gambling, bringing unrivaled customer support, security, and technical infrastructure that every player can rely on.
Exclusion of Michigan-and Canada-Based Customers
However, the StarsDraft FAQ gave advice that it is no longer accepting deposits from DFS players located in Michigan and in Canada. Those with accounts indicating a Michigan address as residence have been sent notification informing them that they have 120 days, commencing from September 03, 2015, within which to access their StarsDraft account, for purposes of winding down. Deposits though will no longer be accepted and that their fund balance must have been consumed or withdrawn before January 01, 2016.
As for players in Canada, StarsDraft conveys that they are still reviewing opportunities that will allow them to make StarsDraft accessible in Canada. Until such time that StarsDraft can attain confidence and clarity in offering its DFS facility and services to Canadian customers, the fantasy sports betting site will not be available to Canada-based customers.
