Predictions of Miami Heat’s 2011 Championship Confirmed

Now that Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade and Lebron James have been granted their wish of playing on the same team, industry officials are already predicting that the Miami Heat will triumph over all others in the upcoming season.

According to Bodog.com, the team is expected to win the 2011 NBA Championship. With odds of 7/4, the team is league’s favourite. Even the Los Angeles Lakers fall behind, with odds of 11/4. The only other team that comes close is the Orlando Magic, as Bodog offers odds of 11/1 on the possibility of the team walking away with the championship.

However, industry insiders have taken note the team’s weak points. Despite James being touted as the second coming of Jordan, he has yet to lead his team to victory. Countless failed attempts at buzzer-beaters are symbolic of the star’s inability to shine when it really matters. And, when it comes down to the key moment between winning and losing a playoff game, one must wonder if James really has what it takes to finally bring a championship home – even with the support of Wade and Bosh.

However, the fact still remains that the new starting lineup for the Miami Heat could develop into a force that rivals the Awesome Threesome of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. Only time will tell how the 2010-11 NBA season plays out but, with sports fans already placing bets on the Finals, it is guaranteed to be an exciting year.
