It was recently announced that one of the most successful developing companies in the online gambling industry, Playtech, was set to release several new titles this year. One of these is Age of the Gods, inspired in the ancient era of the Greek mythology.
This one stood out the most from the other four titles (Ace Ventura: The Pet Detective, Tiki Paradise, Top Gun and The Flintstone) thus it is rumored this one will consist of a whole new saga of slot machines to fill up the void in the player’s heart after having lost the property of the Marvel virtual slot machines.
The developer company Playtech has almost 17 ears of a long trajectory filled up with the best of experiences in the gambling business. The company has a huge portfolio of entertaining slot machines to meet everybody’s expectations: From the most traditional 5 x 3 reels to the most innovative and outstanding themed slots inspired in celebrities, sport personalities, comics and even movies.
Rumor has it that Age of the Gods will consist of up to 7 different video slot machines to replace the no longer available Marvel’s Universe slot machines.
The Greek mythical video slot machine will be based on a rather traditional 5 x 3 set upon 25 unique pay-lines to help you come across all the different combinations available on the grid. Just as we could all expect from Playtech, the visual design of the game is just outstanding.
We will have an ancient battlefield in the background to set the mood just right for the gods. Right upon it, the colorful grid is filled up with old Greek elements and cool animations that make the game even more attractive for the players.
The symbols that decorate the grid are some of the ancient gods of the Olympus, Athena, Zeus, Poseidon, along with Hercules and other elements from the culture, like the white flying horse, Pegasus, and the folkloric Lira.
What We Love
As I previously said, Playtech always puts the best of their efforts in the graphic design of their games, and this time it was certainly not different. The aesthetic of the game is just outstanding with a sober color selection, and lots of cool animations that give life to the grid itself.
Most of the recent titles in the market should take notes from Playtech, thus most of the latest titles we have seen and recently reviewed have been awful, outrageous and rather tacky with drawn symbols that look like they have been taken out directly from your child’s cartoon shows.
Since there is almost none information revealed about Age of the Gods (or any other upcoming release by Playtech), besides the aesthetics of the game, there is not much to be loved, since we do not know for a fact what features the game will actually have.
However, there was something interesting we have spotted in the little preview the company launched: There was a mini-game with a pick feature that allowed you to reveal huge jackpots. These jackpots will have four different levels, Power, Super Power, Extra Power and Ultimate Power.
What We Did Not Like
Of course we do not like the fact that there is almost nothing we actually know about this game, and having to wait for the game, but there is almost nothing to talk about the game in this section. Sure we will go more into it when we get our hands on the game, but we hope it won’t be in this section.
Worth Playing It?
We are already used to be surprised with Playtech’s new games and we hope this time will be no different. Of course we will be informing as soon as we hear more about it.
