The floodgates are open. Now that Google has announced that Android phones will be able to support real money gambling applications, an influx of developers has started releasing casino games for the platform. Microgaming is the next in a long line of online casino designers to release a real money poker application for the Android smartphone.
Microgaming has recently launched a set of casino games for Android 2.2 phones. The mobile casino includes slots, roulettes and other popular card games, but lacked a poker offering. Now, Microgaming offers its full portfolio on the Android mobile platform by adding games from the Microgaming Poker Network.
This is only the first look at Microgaming’s new mobile poker app, as a Beta version has yet to be released. Microgaming will make a grand reveal at the upcoming ICE conference in London, where industry professionals will be able to test out the new software on their own mobile phones.
According to a spokesperson at Microgaming the new poker app will provide players with an easy-to-use interface while they play poker on the go. The application will run on Microgaming’s existing Flash software, so players can rest assured that the games will run safely and reliably.
