Miami Heat Clinch Back To Back NBA Championships

The NBA Finals concluded last night in what fans and sports bettors describe as an incredible finish to a brilliant series.  The Miami Heat, led by playoff MVP LeBron James, completed a comeback for the ages to become back to back NBA Champions.

The Heat squared off against the San Antonio Spurs for the final round of the playoffs, and the momentum remained on the side of the ‘Away’ team for the majority of the series.  The first six games were won by the visiting team, and Game 6 extended into overtime before Miami sunk a three pointer to force a Game 7.  The back and forth nature of the series was commented on by online gambling guides and sportsbetting sites as exciting for spectators, but equally challenging for gamblers.

The final game was just as close as the series, but the offensive prowess of the Heat, led by James took the Spurs to the hoop.  The MVP put up 37 of Miami’s 98 points in what teammates saw as LeBron’s determination to lead the troops with everything on the line.  Teammate Shane Battier, who scored five three-pointers for Miami, praised the leadership of James in guiding the team to back to back championships.

He’s the best player on the planet.  And hopefully now with two titles, he’ll get more the benefit of the doubt.

James continues to receive extensive criticism for leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to join what league insiders describe as ‘the new dream team’ in Miami, consisting of James, longtime Heat star Dwyane Wade, and the former face of the NBA in Canada, Chris Bosh.  The three superstars signed to Miami in 2011, and were immediately labelled as favourites to win the championship – an expectation they failed to live up to.

However, with back to back championships now under their belts, the Miami dream team is likely to go down in history as one of the greatest rosters of NBA stars.
