Canada’s Poker Scene has really been blowing up lately. Several operators have launched poker tournament here, which have been met with an impressive response from Canadian players. Now, internationally-acclaimed poker brand, 888, has decided to launch poker products in Canada – the first of which is a new, live poker tournament.
888 will bring its Super Stack tournament to Canada next April. The event will run from the 7th to the 8th of April at the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec. Already, the event is receiving a great deal of attention from Canadian poker players who are interested in becoming runners in the tournament.
888’s Super Stack tournament is a deepstack event, meaning that all players start with a chip stack in excess of 15 000 chips. The buy-in for the event will be $185 Canadian, and players will begin with a stack of $20 000. Blinds will increase every 30 minutes. As such, the upcoming event promises to be exciting and exhilarating for all those involved.
In order to qualify for the tournament, players can enter via 888’s online poker room. Feeder tournaments will be held regularly and there will also be Sunday Qualifier tournaments. According to 888, at least one seat will be awarded to a lucky player each week.
