What We Love
This is one of those games where you really get to see what Microgaming is capable of. The main differentiator that makes this game special is the Respin option, which you will find at the bottom of each reel. Once you spin the reels once, you can use a Respin button to spin only that particular reel again. It will cost you, a small or a very large amount, depending on what the outcome could be. You can use it to try and form paying combinations, when you have the rest of the symbols in place already. For example, you can use it to obtain the 5th required symbol for a combo.
The feature I mentioned above is even more useful in this case, since ways to win are used and you can get your symbols anywhere on the reels, and they will still count. You need the symbols to be on adjacent reels and going from the left to the right.
Some regular features are also used, one of them being the scatter symbol, which can trigger 15 free spins when it appears in at least three locations at the same time. All the wins obtained during the free spins are multiplied by 3x. You can also retrigger free spins, as long as you land the required three scatters once again.

What We Do Not Like
The theme choice is a common one, and I prefer my games to be as original as possible. The graphics are good, but not extraordinary, doing a very good job at showing off the celebrations that take place during the Chinese New Year. You also get some playing cards in there, and I’m not a huge fan of them, especially when they hardly did an effort to make them appropriate for this theme.
Worth Playing?
That Respin feature makes the game worth pursuing, and even though you have to pay extra to use it, it has a lot of potential and it makes the slot machine more exciting to play. I’d play it for that feature alone, it’s just too rare not to take advantage of it when you find it in a slot machine.
