The 2012 Alberta Poker Championship will kick off on January 15th at Edmonton casino. The event will host 4 tournaments and 2 satellites for players to take part in. Some of the tournaments that players will be able to take part in include : $550 Pot Limit Omaha, $550 No Limit Hold ‘Em and a $2250 No Limit Hold ‘Em Deepstack.
The prize pool for the event is estimated at $400 000 (CAD), with over 600 runners competing for the top prize. To encourage players to participate, those that register early will be provided with vouchers for accommodation and travel.
The event will take place at Casino Edmonton, and it will be the ninth time the tournament has been hosted it. The casino is one of the largest in the province, providing an ideal location at which the best poker players in the country can compete.
