Caesars Windsor Announces Concerts For A Cure Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Caesars Windsor announced a special promotion to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.  The casino is referring to all October entertainment shows as “Caesars Concerts For A Cure,” and will donate $1 from each ticket sold for one of the casino’s concerts to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Caesars Windsor is very involved with charitable work, having raised money for numerous causes over the years.  The casino will host a special event later this month called the “Easter Seals Drop Zone Fundraiser.” Supporters must raise $1,500 for the Easter Seals organization, who will then descend Augustus Tower in the middle of the casino on September 17 to support Canadians living with physical or mental disabilities.

The Caesars Concerts For A Cure campaign continues the casino’s commitment to improving the quality of life for Canadians.  Kevin Laforet, President and CEO of Caesars Windsor, expects the casino will raise a significant amount of money for the Canadian Cancer Society with six entertaining shows scheduled throughout October.  According to Laforet, Caesars Windsor has contributed over $55,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society since the casino opened in 1998.

The concert fundraiser is welcomed by the Canadian Cancer Society.  Judy Lund, Manager of the CCS office in Essex County surrounding the casino, believes support from Caesars Windsor and other corporate sponsors helps researchers find incredible new opportunities to make breakthroughs with treatments for cancer.

“Support like this has yielded many remarkable insights into how the more than 200 different cancers develop and have greatly improved our ability to detect and treat these diseases.”
