Free Casino Games Online

Explore free casino games, from slot demos to table games such as blackjack and roulette. Demo play uses virtual credits, so you can learn the rules and try the controls without staking money. Any wins stay in the game and cannot be withdrawn.

Start with our free slots section, or use the game guides below to find out how each type works. Demo availability depends on the game, your location and the provider’s access requirements.

18+ only. Virtual credits have no cash value.

Browse casino games by type

Choose a game type to explore. Slots involve spinning reels or matching symbols; table games use cards, wheels or dice. Some involve decisions that affect the odds, while others depend entirely on chance.

Game type What happens in the game What you can learn through practice
Slots Symbols form winning combinations according to the paytable. How paylines, bonus rounds and other features work.
Blackjack You play against the dealer and try to win without exceeding 21. When to hit, stand, split or double under the particular rules.
Roulette You bet on where a ball will land on a numbered wheel. How inside and outside bets differ, and what they pay.
Video poker You choose which cards to hold before drawing replacements. How your hold decisions and the paytable affect the game.
Baccarat You bet on the Player hand, Banker hand or a tie. The drawing rules and the terms for each bet.
Craps Bets are settled by the results of dice rolls. The come-out roll, the point and different bet types.
Keno You choose numbers and compare them with a random draw. How the number of selections changes the paytable.
Bingo Drawn numbers are marked on cards until a winning pattern is completed. The card format and the patterns needed to win.
Scratch cards You reveal symbols or numbers to check for a prize. The matching rules and the listed prize combinations.

Free slots

Slot demos let you explore a game’s reels, symbols and bonus features using a virtual balance. Read the paytable first: a symbol may need to land on a payline, an adjacent reel or part of a cluster to count towards a win.

Our free slots library is the place to browse slot titles. A demo can show you how a feature works, but a few spins cannot establish its true payout frequency or reveal a winning pattern.

Blackjack

Blackjack is played against the dealer. You choose whether to take another card, keep your hand or use other options allowed by the rules. A hand above 21 busts.

Practice can help you learn basic strategy, but the correct decision depends on the game. Check the number of decks, the blackjack payout and whether the dealer hits or stands on a soft 17. Our blackjack guide explains the rules and decisions in more detail.

Roulette

Roulette bets cover individual numbers, groups of numbers or outcomes such as red and black. European roulette normally has one zero; American roulette normally has zero and double zero. That extra pocket changes the odds.

Use practice play to understand the betting layout and payouts. Raising your stake after a loss does not make the next spin more likely to win or remove the house edge. Read our roulette guide for the differences between variants.

Video poker

Video poker deals a hand of cards, then lets you decide which to keep before drawing replacements. Winning hands pay according to the displayed paytable.

Two games with the same name can have different payouts. Check the full house and flush payments in Jacks or Better, for example, before applying a strategy chart. Our video poker guide covers the game’s rules and variants.

Baccarat and other games

In standard punto banco baccarat, you choose a bet and the cards are drawn according to fixed rules. A bet on the Banker hand does not mean you act as the dealer. Commission and no-commission variants can settle bets differently, so read the rules before playing.

Craps uses dice, while keno and bingo use drawn numbers. They have different betting and prize structures. Scratch-card games are more direct: reveal the covered areas and check the result against the prize rules.

How to play a casino game in demo mode

  1. Choose a game with an available demo. Check whether it works in your location and whether age verification or an account is required.
  2. Open the rules or help menu. Read the winning combinations, payouts and any special conditions.
  3. Select a virtual stake. This comes from the demo balance, rather than your bank account.
  4. Play a round. Spin the reels, place a roulette bet or make a card decision, depending on the game.
  5. Check the result. Use the paytable to understand why a bet won or lost. If your credits run out, the demo may offer a reset or reload.

Keep the virtual stake modest if you want time to learn the game. A large demo balance can make high stakes seem ordinary, even though the same amounts would carry a very different cost in real-money play.

Free casino games vs real-money games

The main difference is what you stake and what you can receive. Demo credits are for practice and entertainment. Real-money games involve financial loss and account requirements.

Detail Free demo play Real-money play
Stakes Virtual credits with no cash value. Money from your gambling balance.
Wins Added to the virtual balance; cannot be cashed out. May be withdrawable, subject to account checks and applicable terms.
Deposit No deposit is needed to fund an ordinary demo balance. Usually needed, unless a qualifying promotion supplies the funds.
Access Depends on the provider, location and verification requirements. Requires an eligible account and the required checks.
Rules and settings Check the demo’s own rules and paytable. Check the exact version offered by the operator.
Main limitation Results cannot tell you what you will win with money. You can lose the money you stake.

A demo win is not evidence that a real-money win is likely to follow. Switching modes does not carry over your balance or make a game due to pay.

Are demo games the same as the paid versions?

They may share the same design and features, but you should check the exact version and settings. A matching title or thumbnail does not establish that two games have the same return to player, paytable or available features.

For UK-regulated operators, the Gambling Commission’s RTS 6 requirements say that free-play games must use the same rules as the corresponding paid games on the same facility and accurately represent winning probabilities and prize distribution. That requirement should not be treated as proof that every demo on every website matches a paid version elsewhere.

What to check before choosing a game

Start with the rules and the paytable. Then check the following details where they are available:

  • Return to player (RTP). This is a theoretical long-run return, not a promise for your session. Read the figure for the version you are playing.
  • Volatility. This describes variation in results. A higher-volatility slot can have long stretches without a substantial win.
  • Features. Check how bonus rounds trigger, what they change and whether the demo includes them.
  • Controls. Make sure you can find the stake settings, help menu and sound controls on your screen.

A 96% RTP does not mean that staking £10 in total will return £9.60. It describes an average across a very large volume of stakes under the game’s mathematical model. Your own result can be far above or below that figure. The Gambling Commission explains how observed RTP varies with the amount of play measured.

Playing free casino games on mobile

Many modern demos run in a phone or tablet browser. A separate download is often unnecessary, although compatibility depends on the game and provider.

Use an up-to-date browser and a stable connection. Landscape mode may make a table layout or paytable easier to read. If a game fails to load, try refreshing once, then check for a provider restriction or unavailable-demo message. Do not use a VPN to bypass location restrictions.

Free demos, free spins and no-deposit bonuses

These terms describe different things. A free demo uses virtual credits with no cash value. Promotional free spins are spins supplied by a casino under an offer’s terms, and may generate restricted real-money winnings. A no-deposit bonus is an operator promotion that does not require an initial deposit, but can still require registration, verification and other conditions.

Check wagering requirements, eligible games, expiry dates and withdrawal limits before accepting a promotion. A demo balance cannot be converted into a casino bonus or withdrawn.

Keep free play in perspective

Free play removes the cost of the virtual stakes, but it can still encourage long sessions or create unrealistic expectations about gambling. Set a time limit and stop if you find yourself chasing a virtual loss or feeling pressured to deposit.

Practice can improve your understanding of a game. It cannot guarantee profit, and gambling should not be treated as a source of income.

If gambling is affecting you or someone close to you, GamCare provides information and support. Outside Great Britain, look for a gambling support service in your country.

Free casino games FAQs

Can you win real money from a free casino demo?

No. Ordinary demo credits and winnings have no cash value. Promotions or competitions with prizes are separate products with their own eligibility rules and terms.

Do free casino games require registration?

Some demos can be accessed without a casino account. Others require registration or age verification. The requirements depend on the provider, your location and how the game is offered.

Can you play without making a deposit?

An ordinary demo uses a supplied virtual balance, so you do not need to deposit money to fund it. Access checks may still apply. A no-deposit casino promotion is different and has its own terms.

Can you practise blackjack strategy for free?

Yes, where a blackjack demo is available. Choose a strategy chart that matches the game’s rules. Practice can help you make better decisions, but it does not guarantee winning sessions.

Does a losing streak mean a slot is due to win?

No. In a standard RNG slot, previous losses do not make the next spin more likely to win. Some games have persistent features that change their state; their rules explain those features, and they still do not guarantee a profit. The Gambling Commission’s random-outcome standards explain the requirements for regulated games.

Can you play live dealer games for free?

Free interactive access depends on the provider and game. Some services offer demonstration or viewing modes, while others require a funded account to participate. Watching a stream is different from placing a bet with virtual credits.

Why is a casino demo unavailable?

The provider may restrict access by country, require verification, withdraw the demo or encounter a technical problem. An unavailable demo does not establish whether a real-money version is legal or offered in your location.
