As you can probably already tell by the title of the game, this time we are here to talk about a game inspired in the noble hero Robin Hood. If you do not know who this is, I will gladly explain it to you as I loved this story when I was a kid (I still do). Robin Hood was a hero (or an enemy) that used to rob to the wealthy royals to give out to the poor.
This character, human as the legend or a fox as Disney’s picture, was adventurous, charming, skilled with a bow and an arrow, and a romantic too. However, Next Generation Gaming has pictured this little guy as bird (Get it? Robin the bird?) with a birdie gang and other animal friends, with the same charm and goodwill goals.
The company, Next Generation Gaming, that started way back in 1999 along with the birth of the online gambling scene, has claimed many times that they were responsible for the first video slot machine that landed the internet.
However, this claim has been made by many other companies, certainly bigger than Next Generation Gaming. Whether this is true or not, the company has now over 90 online video-games to offer and a payroll with more than 50 employees, as well as headquarters in London and two more offices in Sweden and Australia.
What We Love
First, the visual design is just outstanding. It might not be the three dimensional animated layout that other companies can offer, but the two dimensions are fine by me. With a cartoonish look and a colorful layout, all of this makes you travel to your childhood as you remember the original fairy-tale. This, however, do not make the game look outrageous or tacky as you might already be thinking. The decoration in the grid features princesses, stone medieval castles, owls, targets, bags of gold coins and old school drawn wanted posters, along with the traditional 9, 10, J, Q, K and A poker cards.
The main special feature we should be talking about is the Super Bet feature, which regard the wilds. The feature enables you to place a side bet in addition to the one you are already making. The first level of the super bet has no addition to the bet, but makes the princess (the wild) turn the adjacent symbols into other wilds. The second level costs 30 coins and turns (beside the princess) the owl and the bag of coins into wilds too.
The third and last level costs 80 coins and makes the quiver and the target into wild symbols too. The super bet feature is made to help you make huge combinations and land gigantic wins.
What We Did Not Like
All of the features in the game work perfectly with each other, and I truly love that. What I was not too pleased with is finding out that the free spins only do that, granting free spin rounds. Landing three or more scatters will grant you from 15 to 25 free spins.
Worth Playing It?
This game is something really different than what we are already used to find in the market nowadays. Robin Hood Prince of Tweets has the special features you need to start making good money, while being really entertained.
Next Generation has my gratitude and I congratulate them, as I really think their hard work has paid off this time. If you are looking for something different, this is the one for you.
