Tom ‘Durr’ Dwan was one of the best poker pros to be sponsored by Full Tilt Poker. Despite his status as one of the world’s best poker players, he has avoided the media spotlight in light of Full Tilt’s recent legal trouble. Now, Dwan has stepped forward to voice his opinions about Full Tilt Poker’s situation in a recent interview with Poker News.
Unless living in a gambling capital like Las Vegas or London, professional poker players normally stick to playing online. With the demise of one of the world’s top poker websites, they have had to find other outlets, and Dwan has filled the poker community in on his recent activities. Dwan has stuck to playing live cash games in locations across Vegas, London and Macau; he has stayed away from the online poker market completely.
When it comes to Full Tilt Poker, he states that it was a ‘sour note’ for him during 2011. Although he could not comment on it fully, Dwan believes that players can still be hopeful about getting their money back from Full Tilt Poker in 2012. His prediction seems to be on point, as Groupe Bernard Tapie and Full Tilt Poker are working on a deal that could see the site operating again by the end of the year. If so, online poker players will be able to receive withdraw their cash soon.
