Peel Woman Wins Jackpot On Fallsview Casino’s Michael Jackson Slots

Despite the passing of Michael Jackson in 2009, the King of Pop continues to connect with fans around the world.  But one fan’s undying love for the fallen king was rewarded handsomely at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, when she won over $1.8 million on the ‘Michael Jackson King of Pop’ slot machine.

Kathryn Stokes is a 55-year old associate of the Peel Regional Police in the Greater Toronto Area, who admits she is not much of a gambler.  However, a close friend talked Kathryn into joining a tour group from the GTA on a trip to Fallsview Casino on September 17, which she agreed to do.

After arriving at the casino, Kathryn knew immediately which game she wanted to play.  The trip was her second visit to Fallsview, and she found the Michael Jackson slot machine on her previous visit to Niagara Falls.

On her last visit, Kathryn won a few hundred dollars, and considered the experience well worth the trip.  Despite her “huge” love for the King of Pop, Kathryn was committed to spending a maximum of $60 this time around.

But luckily for Kathryn, her $60 limit was all she needed for a life-changing reward.  After playing a few rounds, the next pull of the lever won Kathryn the jackpot prize, and made her over $1.8 million richer due in part to her undying passion for one of her favourite musical heroes.  She hasn’t decided what to do with the money yet, but does hint that some of the money could be used to buy treats of her own.

“I have no idea at the moment.  I’m looking at a brand new car.”
