Jonathan Duhamel Wins $2 million at PokerStars Event

When Jonathan Duhamel came out of nowhere to last year’s World Series of Poker tournament, the poker world thought it was just a fluke. However, the professional Canadian poker player has proven that he is more than a one-hit wonder, making a remarkable performance at the recent PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

At the recent poker tournament, Duhamel has done something that no other poker player has ever attempted: he played the entire event. You’d think that the exhaustion would have affected his performance, but he just seemed more driven. As such, Duhamel placed in the top ten of every event in which he took part.

His largest prize came from the $25 000 high-roller competition, in which he placed second for a prize of more than $630 000. He also made $239 000 after coming in first of a $5000 no-limit hold ‘em event and $313 000 for placing fourth in a $100 000 high-roller event.

After his impressive performance, it is obvious that Duhamel is a talent in the international poker world. Cashing five times in the WSOP (one of them a main event win) and 13 times in other major tournaments indicates that Duhamel is on his way to becoming one of the best poker players in the world.
