Toronto NFL fans have another weekend to be excited about as Hogtown will once again serve as home field for the Buffalo Bills in their Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday, December 16. The Bills are fighting to remain alive for a playoff spot in the tight AFC Wildcard race, while the Seahawks are running off an impressive season that no one was predicting and are in a stone’s throw chance to take top position in the NFC West.
However, fans are more excited about the halftime show performance from International Sensation PSY – famous all over the world for his smash hit ‘Gangnam Style’. The show will be PSY’s first public performance in Canada, and Bills in Toronto Executive Director Greg Albrecht says PSY’s appearance is the organization’s drive to build off last year’s nail-biting battle with the Washington Redskins.
“This year, a ticket to this adrenaline-pumping football game is also a ticket to a world-class halftime event, with one of the year’s most iconic entertainment figures.”
PSY will be the main entertainment attraction that will also feature over 60 dancers joining him in his now iconic ‘Gangnam Style’ dance routine. The Buffalo Bills cheerleaders will also be at the Rogers Centre in support of the home away from home team as they try to edge out a win over the visiting Seahawks.
However, sports analysts and bookmakers are not expecting a Buffalo victory. The Bills defense has not been very effective at stopping opposing team’s running game, and the Seahawks have an impressive running back in Marshawn Lynch who interestingly enough used to play for Buffalo. Gamers are putting odds on the Seahawks cruising to victory over the Bills, and moving one step closer to the NFC West title. The Bills are coming off a disappointing loss against the St. Louis Rams which some experts say should fuel their hunger for a win. But Seattle has proven a strong, young team that may be too much for the Bills to get back a victory.
Regardless of the outcome, the NFL in Toronto is always an exciting weekend for fans. The anticipated performance of Gangnam Style has already made this Toronto game one for the history books.
