Online Casino Software Developer Playtech Partners With Asian Licensee

Leading online casino software developer, Playtech, has announced a partnership deal with a mystery online gambling licensee from Asia.

After Playtech announced the partnership, its stocks went up by 4 percent.

Playtech made a statement to the London Stock Exchange indicating the reasons for keeping their licensee a secret was due to a confidentiality agreement. The company did state, however, it would provide the operator with online software for Asian-focused casino and poker games.

The company stated, "The licensee has a strong and diversified presence in the Asia-Pacific region."

CEO of Playtech, Mor Weizer comments on the new partnership, "This is a significant new business win for Playtech and comes after lengthy contract formalities with the licensee."

"The scale of its operations and its large and diverse base of clients across Asia make it a very valuable addition to our growing portfolio," he added.

The agreement will last three years with a profit expected during the second quarter of 2008.
