As a result of this concern, Chocolate Consulting has teamed up with VeriSign, an expert in the online gambling field. The two will release a line of new products to protect online casino operators from a wide range of internet threats.

VeriSign Identity Protection (VIP) is an authentication system which would prevent hackers from taking over player accounts. While the player is the primary victim in a crime such as this, the online casino operator must also face losses – and VIP will help reduce these costs. The system will also be adapted for mobile gaming, a market that is seeing huge growth in gaming technology but lags behind in security.

Another problem that Chocolate Consulting believes that online casinos should protect themselves against is Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attacks, which cut online casinos off from their users. This has become a widespread problem in the industry, but operators are still unsure how to detect and prevent attacks – which can cost them millions of dollars due to the downtime. To combat this issue, Chocolate Consulting will also be launching VeriSign's Internet Defense Network (VIDN), a system which has the power to detect DDOS attacks.
