Blackjack is an incredibly popular casino available at both online and land-based casinos. Requiring players to use both luck and skill, the game creates a very exciting experience for all players involved. The main goal of the game is for the player (up to 6 may compete) to get their hand closer to 21 than the dealer without exceeding that total. 

At the beginning of each round, players place their ante bets. The dealer gives the player their cards face-up while the dealer gives himself one face-up card and one face-down card. Based on the two cards the player is dealt, the have to choose whether or not to take another card (hit or stand). After this, the dealer will reveal the second card of his hand. If the hand totals 16 or less, he has to hit; if it's over 17, he has to stand. 

In order to be successful while playing Blackjack, there are a few things that players must remember. One of the best things to keep in mind is that the player should always assume that the dealer has a 10 in his hand. For example, if the dealer’s face-up card is a 5, the player should assume that they have 15 and act accordingly. This makes decisions much easier and prevents the game from slowing down.

Players should stand on a hard 16 if the dealer is showing a 6 or less. If the dealer is showing 7 or higher, then the player should hit. Players should also stand on a 12 is the dealer is showing any cards from 4 to 6; they should hit on a hard 12 if the dealer is showing a 2, 3 or 7.
